Jean Frédéric Joliot-Curie
Jean Frédéric Joliot-Curie (n. París, 19 de marzo de 1900 - † París, 14 de agosto de 1958). Físico francés, premio Nobel de Química en 1935. Se casó con Irène Joliot-Curie cuyo apellido de soltera, Curie, ya famoso por sus padres Pierre y Marie Curie, añadió al suyo. Trabajó toda la vida con su mujer, en el campo de la física nuclear y de la estructura del átomo. Juntos demostraron la existencia del neutrón y descubrieron la radiactividad artificial en 1934, lo que les valió el premio Nobel de química en 1935.
